Annual screenings for breast cancer for women ages 40 and older, and early screenings for younger women with a family history of cancer are recommended by The American Cancer Society, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and American College of Radiology. We offer both 2D and 3D mammography, and Ultrasound options based on patients’ unique needs.

For added accuracy and more in-depth evaluations, we offer Genius™ 3D Mammography™ exams on the Selenia® Dimensions® Mammography system. This state-of-the-art technology takes complete three-dimensional scans of the breast and connective tissue, and is often recommended for high-risk patients and those with a personal or family history of cancer.

Most often administered in combination with a 2D or 3D mammogram, we also offer Hologic Breast Ultrasound imaging. This option allows closer examination of lumps or other abnormalities to determine likelihood of cancer. It is also commonly recommended for women with dense breast tissue which may make follow up diagnosis more difficult under traditional methods alone. Dense Breast tissue is just one of the risk factors for breast cancer. Different tests such as Ultrasound can aide in the detection of breast cancer, for cancers that are missed on mammography. The National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) recommends that all women over 65 or of postmenopausal age with risk factors, talk to their doctors about undergoing a bone density test to diagnose osteoporosis. Bone density scans are painless and only take 15 minutes to administer.
