Today’s leading-edge technologies not only provide more detailed scans and imaging, but also deliver a higher degree of certainty when it comes to diagnosing and evaluating abnormalities. This reduces the need for repeat visits, call backs, and added stress for our patients. The result is a win-win scenario in which our patients know our team is always acting with their best interests and comfort in mind.

From yearly preventive screenings, to specialized visits for patients with genetic risk factors, dense or fibrous breast tissue, or a history of cancer, our caring team of experienced technologists ensure that each patient receives dedicated care and support with every visit, with all images read by a board-certified breast imaging radiologist.

Innovative Technology

In addition to traditional 2D mammography screenings, Wellington Mammography is pleased to offer patients choices such as Genius™ 3D Mammography exams on the Selenia® Dimensions® mammography system, and Supersonic™ MACH™ 20 Ultrasound imaging – both of which offer more complete images of the entire breast. We also offer the Horizon™ DXA system which features the latest innovation in bone densitometry technology, allowing our clinicians to assess your bone health.

Together, these technologies provide excellent opportunities for early detection for higher-risk patients, and better accuracy when spotting abnormalities for follow-up care and management/treatment of new and existing conditions.

The Genius™3D Mammography™ exam (a.k.a. Genius™ exam) is acquired on the Hologic® 3D
Mammography™ system and consists of a 2D and 3D™ image set, where the 2D image can be either an
acquired 2D image or a 2D image generated from the 3D™ image set. The Genius™ exam is only available on the Hologic® 3D Mammography™ system.

Our office is dedicated to breast imaging only. There are never any outside patients associated with x-rays or other diagnostic imaging, and we do not share our facility with urgent care or general practice operations.
